this assignment, you will prepare a presentation that includes six to eight
slides that discuss a natural disaster. You may select a topic from the ones in
the lessons of this module—volcanoes, earthquakes, tsunamis, floods,
landslides, wildfires, hurricanes, or tornadoes. Your presentation should offer
new information on one of these natural disasters.

Picking a Topic

Think
about the areas that interest you. For instance, perhaps you would like to know
how fighting wildfires has changed over time or how people can prepare for a
hurricane. When you review the material on these disasters, think about where
you wish the lesson had gone next. Think about what else you would like to know
about a topic.
