You can see in Chapter 9 that there are many academic definitions of courage and layperson definitions of courage.  Study these after reading the entire chapter and post your ideas about one of the academic and one of the layperson definitions you think are very good.  I have put one of my favorite ones here because it addresses the idea of fear which is always present no matter how prepared we are for an event.

Also include one of the academic and one of the layperson ones that you do not think are good, that do not seem to explain courage well.  You should explain why you made the selections that you did.
