For the past several years, ICD-10-CM/PCS has been in the forefront of healthcare news. The extended implementation delays created challenges for all of the stakeholders in the healthcare industry.

In your post, state your current perception of ICD-10-CM/PCS. Using the delays that we experienced with ICD-10, formulate your opinion based on your own personal experience or do some research on how the World Health Organization can prepare to capitalize on the next generation ICD-11 to incorporate features that will better capture progress being made in health sciences, technology and the medical practice.
