Selena is applying to colleges and for scholarships during the summer before her senior year in high school.  All of her older siblings have been able to get enough scholarship money to have their college costs covered so the family did not need to help out.  Selena wants to be a veterinarian (Veterinarians are 2.7 times more likely than the general public to die by suicide) and knows she will have many years of college to pay for. She has consistently been a good student in high school, has a 4.0 GPA and did very well on her ACT.  She is also a cross country runner for the school, who even in the summer is meeting up with teammates and working out.
